1.24.09 FIN Well I sort of decided that I'm not going to update this anymore... As great as my HTML skillz are...I plan to give this up for now. Eventually I plan to have another website. 6.14.08 recent successes A few exciting things going on lately. First, I was accepted to my first choice major within the design program, Visual Communication Design. Secondly, I was also accepted to the UW Design Study Abroad Program in Rome, so I will be traveling to Rome for a month at the end of summer. Finally, Kyoka Hinami, Erin Hovland and myself showed a dress on the Seattle AIGA Make Ready to Wear Fashion Show. The contest was to design an outfit from recycled materials - ours was made of Starburst wrappers. We first submitted sketches, then our dress was chosen as a finalist. We didn't win on the runway, but I'm very pleased with the result and the event was lots of fun and a really great experience. Pictures will be posted soon in the gallery section, or there is a whole album of photos from the construction process and the event in my facebook. |

10.22.07 about me Hello! I'm Lauren and that's me on the left. I started this website in September 2007 and now it finally consists of more than one page! How exciting! I run it and write all the code, using TextEdit. Someday I should probably learn Dreamweaver. I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Washington in Seattle, majoring in design.
