Service

The most important factor of Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Incorporated is community service. Kappa Delta Chi has made a commitment to serving our communities, with special emphasis on the Latino population. Our founders recognized the need to correct the educational, economic, and social injustices faced by the Latino community. They instilled a sense of servitude in this sorority and strongly believe that as educated Latinas, we have a responsibility to help those who are in need.

We the sisters at the University of Washington proudly take the initiative to give back to our community and live up to the standards set forth by our devoted founders. This is accomplished through various activities such as:

Dia de los Muertos                 Capitol Hill Street Sweep

                                    MESA Day                               Dawg Daze

                                    Labor of Love                          MLK March

We also support our national philanthropy, the American Cancer Society through donations, service, and fun by hosting and participating in events such as:

Noche de Esperanza               Relay for Life

Service is a very important part of the New Member process. Through this requirement KDChi introduces this very important activity to our future members. We are always looking for new forms of service that we can do. If you have any suggestions or would like to coordinate a service activity with us please email us at kdchi@u.washington.edu.
