which may be the wiser

But one has no choice of temperament
I couldn't agree with my father

husband
lovers or even my faggot boy friends
so I left
Camaraderie with women
is easy for me
they seem to be made of finer stuff
even the most bloated
jaded
even some into the halo game
all except those into the tease
I have no camaraderie with women who
prey on men
Why should I
Men have nothing I want
except physically
some bear a resemblance
to a dream I once had
of someone wise
tender
full of grace
strength
careful nurture
knowledge of the world
curiosity about life
As I say
some men bear a superficial
resemblance to this creature
I have dreamed about
but I've met
the brutes
philanderers
childish runts defending something they call
their manhood
impossible boors
moody myopes
All of them say
agree with me or else
so I left
because I don't

tearing down the woodland

I don't believe life is so lacking in value

is to be shunned
turning fruition
into fear, filth and violence
laughter into penitence

I don't agree with you about
