The Blakeley Manor

Several of the guys in IV live in a house that's just off-campus (near U-Village). It's been voted 7-0 the coolest place in the entire world to throw a Christian party (voting was done by the seven residents of the Blakeley Manor, but the rest of us heartily agree).

The Church Connection

In addition to our involvement with our campus fellowship, we attend churches all over. There are congretations of all kinds (Baptist, Lutheran, Catholic, Presbyterian, Seventh-Day Adventist, and others) around the University of Washington and there are also people driving to their old home church every weekend. If you're a regular attendee list your church on the Church Connection page, if not, check out the listing and try out a new church!

The Spleen

As the legend goes, sometime in the early 1990's an IVer had to have his spleen removed. Some kind photographer snapped a picture of it as it was being removed and put it in a nice wood frame. For the last two decades or so it has drifted through the UW fellowship. Mind you, it drifts with a considerable amount of help. Spleen-stealing is one of the key underground pastimes of the fellowship. It must be prominently displayed in the room of a Freshman or other person who's new to the fellowship, and it must be taken by stealth - not by force.
As it happens, there have been copies made recently and therefore we must be cautious in capturing the spleen. Check the back of the picture for writing and whether the masking tape on the front is real before celebrating.
May the spleen be with you.
