an opportunity for students to see "real-world" solutions to
transportation problems and can provide a "behind the scene" view of
transportation facilities and operations in the Puget Sound region.

Student Chapter works with the Washington ITE Section Chapter to
encourage student-professional interaction and communication.
Community service opportunities
are also available through ITE as members are exposed to various local
charities in the community.

undergraduate and graduate scholarships and award opportunities.
Traditionally, ITE has offered seven scholarships to juniors and
seniors, valued between $400 and $500.
Social activities are also often
organized by ITE, such as attending a Seattle Thunderbirds
professional hockey game, going bowling, having a potluck, or just hosting a meeting at a local pub or restaurant. This allows
students to meet and talk about classes and other aspects of student life.

nationally recognized and respected organization in the transportation
industry and its something that looks good on a resume!
