Spring/Summer Fun
For links to events around the Puget Sound, visit Seattle's Child's website. This site has an events calendar that allows you to browse area events by clicking on on the date. You can also use the search function to look for specific types of events. ParentMap also maintains a monthly events calendar.

Burke Museum: First Thursdays are free, with the exception of special events and exhibits.
Henry Art Museum: Admission is free on Thursday evenings and for UW students/faculty with ID, high school and college students with ID, and children under age 13.
HUB Movies: Movies are played in the HUB Auditorium. $2 for single movies; $3 for double feature.
HUB Gaming Area: Bowl or play pool or video games at the HUB.
Husky Sports: Information and ticket sales for UW athletic teams.
UW Events Calendar: Links to lectures, UW Bookstore signings, museum exhibits, and sporting events around campus.

Museums
Children's Museum of Tacoma: Exhibits and activities include The Learning Lounge, Building on Play, and Grubby Gardeners. Adults $3.00. Children 1-12 $4.00. Members and children under 1 are free. 1st Friday is free admission for families.
Frye Art Museum: Representational art, with an emphasis on painting and sculpture from the 19th century - present. Admission is free anytime.
Nordic Heritage Museum: Learn about immigrants from Nordic countries. Adults $6.00, K-12 students $4.00, children 5 and under are free.
Museum of Flight: Aerospace artifacts. Children 4 and under are free.
Museum of History and Industry: Specializes in Seattle and King County history since 1850. First Thursdays are free; children under 4 are free.
Seattle Art Museum: First Thursdays are free, with the exception of special exhibits. Children under age 12 are free.
Seattle Asian Art Museum: The SAAM collection ranges from ancient Egyptian artifacts to modern art. First Thursdays and Saturdays are free; children 12 and under are free.
Tacoma Art Museum: Children under 6 free; first Thursdays free. 1701 Pacific Ave, Tacoma 253.272.4258 Tacoma Art Museum also participates in Triple Tuesdays, a program that offers reduced admission to the Museum of Glass and the Washington State History Museum, which is featuring soon, Basket Weaving and Storytelling by Quinault Ambassador, Harvest Moon, Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 12:00 - 2:00 pm to Saturday, December 17, 2005.
Wing Luke Asian Museum: Focuses on the history, culture, and art of Asian Pacific Americans. First Thursdays are free; children under 5 are free.

Point Defiance Zoo: This is both a zoo and an aquarium.
Seattle Aquarium: Visitors can explore exhibits and events as well as touch sea creatures.
