Posted on: March 7th, 2011
by Emily Oxenford

As the quarter draws to an end, it’s time to open up the nomination period for new AIMS officers. It is up to you, cohort of 2012, to keep AIMS alive and working for you.

What you need to know when you go to the Catalyst survey here to nominate someone:

1) You have until FRIDAY, MARCH 15th at 5PM to nominate.
2) Only first-year MSIM students should be nominated.
3) You may make multiple nominations.
4) You may nominate yourself (nominations are anonymous anyway, so we won’t know).
5) The person nominated will be notified over email about his or her nomination on FRIDAY, MARCH 11, and must accept the nomination by MONDAY, MARCH 14 to be entered on the ballot.
6) Officer roles are described in video format on our YouTube site.
7) Direct nomination questions to jeschler@uw.edu.

Remember, you’re already a member of AIMS – now is your chance to be part of deciding where it goes next!

Nominations and Town Halls and Things!

There are a few things coming up AIMS would like to share with everyone.

First, on Tuesday, March 8 at 4:00pm there will be a Town Hall with Phyllis Wise (interim UW president) at 130 Kane Hall. We are encouraging all students who are concerned about the proposal to consolidate the iSchool within another UW department to attend.

Second, nominations for 2011-12 officers are open! Click here to nominate someone (even yourself, we won’t tell). The nominations will be closed Friday, March 11 at 5:00pm.

Finally, don’t forget that today there is a BI session at Paccar you may want to attend if you think BI is your destiny. Or may be your destiny.

As always, any questions about the above can be directed to jeschler@uw.edu.
