Someone asked on Facebook where the best places to find UX/UI ideas might be found. Personally, I find following blogs a great information source. That and articles on websites are pretty darn valuable. I started a list, and was hoping people might continue to build off this, because I’m sure there’s lots out there!
- http://www.adaptivepath.com/ (Blog is pretty interesting)
- http://www.mobileuserexperience.com/ (Self-explanatory URL)
- http://www.smarterfaster.com/ (general creative ideas, not UX specifically).
- http://whitneyhess.com/blog/ (blog of UX designer)
- http://www.tangible-ux.com/ (some good news/case studies).
- http://www.inspireux.com/ (User Experience quotes and articles to inspire and connect the UX community.)
- http://www.rosenfeldmedia.com/zeitgeist/ (Dynamic list of “important” UX books, topics, and people).
If talking to people is more interesting than people, then maybe check out http://www.ixda.org/local/seattle-ixda (The local Interaction Design Association chapter).

Hi, I am from China and applying UW MISM Program now. All of the materials have been completed. I really want to join this program. Where could I find detailed information about the career and life there?
Hi Mingtao,
If you’ve explored the resources provided by the iSchool (a brief summary of job roles and a look at Seattle) then I’d suggest contacting Kathy Wong (katwong (at) uw.edu) and ask to be connected with a student who is willing to answer some specific questions you might have. Career and life are a lot to answer about!
