If anyone wants to join me, I’m going to be checking out the SEC this Tuesday at 5:30 in Miller 301. I’ve heard they have food, interesting speakers, and some fun events. They’re not just restricted to business-y people either – the latest blog is written by an Informatics student! If this doesn’t seem to be your cup of tea, I’d still encourage all MSIM students to check out something that pushes them to think beyond themselves.

What is social entrepreneurship? “A social entrepreneur is an individual who harnesses the power of business-driven innovation and creativity to solve a social problem.  Social entrepreneurs are people who look at the issues facing humanity as solvable, preventable, and impossible to ignore, and through leadership, creative thinking, and personal passion strive to make the world a more vibrant place.”

Sounds like a good goal to me!
