AIMS is asking members of the 2011 cohort for thoughts on their summer internships.  The interview would be digitally video recorded and is relatively short (5 questions – listed below). The interview will be conducted at the iSchool, or a venue of your choice if more convenient. We’d like to get all the raw footage by the end of next week, if you are available.

If you are interested in participating, please respond contact Jordan Eschler (jeschler at uw dot edu).  Scheduling is flexible and we’d be very grateful for your time (as would incoming & future students!). Information about the interviews is enclosed below.

Interview Questions
1 – How did you find your internship, and at what sort of organization were you placed?
2 – What was your main project, or set of duties, at your internship?
3 – What course material did you find yourself using during the internship?
4 – What do you look forward to learning in the second year of MSIM, based on your internship experience?
5 – What sort of advice would you give to future MSIM students seeking internships?

How will the interview footage be used?
AIMS WILL edit the footage for length and clarity
AIMS WILL post the edited videos to a YouTube channel owned by AIMS (as such, your likeness and answers will be used by us in a limited scope)
AIMS WILL NOT use the footage outside of this particular project, which is to create informational content for incoming/prospective students
AIMS WILL NOT release the raw or edited material to a third party (though the videos will be hosted on YouTube, as stated above)

Thank you all very much for your time!
