WACAS Logo

The UW Office of Undergraduate Admissions (UGA) created a Web-based tool for students planning to transfer to the UW, while I was working for them as a webmaster. The name of the tool is WACAS or Washington Course Applicability System. My supervisor asked me to create a logo to be used in the web site and on brochures.

The logo is still used today in the WACAS web site.

Design
1. The final logo design started out as a 1" x 1" pencil sketch. The stairs metaphor was used because WACAS serves as steps for students who want to transfer to the UW. 2. I traced the logo in an image editor and I added a square as a background. The color scheme used is from the color scheme of UGA's web site for transfer students (who will be using the WACAS tool). 3. This is the final version of the logo. Notice that the side of the stairs has been darkened to make the stairs look more three-dimensional.
Usage
This is the logo with text that is used in the WACAS web site.
This is a postcard with the WACAS logo.
