Subscribe to Hindu Yuva Reading Group Email: Visit this group We also have a special reading session too for the intellectuals. Participants are encouraged to read any non-fiction book of their choice for about 45 minutes. In the last 15 minutes everyone gives a short summary about what they read. Any subject is welcome but its preferred that you choose topics from which others can benefit too. We have a small library as well and you can choose a book from there to read too. The aim of the session is to inculcate the habit of reading and also get a brief idea about the books that fellow readers are reading in case they might be of your interest.

We organize a different event each month, which can range from a volunteering at temple to ice-skating. The goal is to get people together and encourage informal communication, while at the same time having fun and learning something new. Here are some of the past socials. Be sure to join our mailing list, so that you do not miss out on any of these fun events!

We hold a sewa activity every quarter such as packing food for the homeless, cleaning public parks, etc. We have had two volunteers for Yuva for Sewa, a project that encourages young adults to volunteer and provide a helping hand to one that needs the most. Here is an interview with Shikta Sapkota, a student at UW, who volunteered during Summer 2008.
