Applying to HKN Society
Every year eligible students will be invited to join HKN. Notification will be sent via mail. After being notified, information sessions will be held in order for students to understand the policies and background and a general overview of HKN. After the eligible students decide to become HKN members, they can fill out the application form (see links below), pay their dues, and turn both in at the Initiation Ceremony.
- the top 25% of Juniors and Sophomores who are EE and CompE majors
- the top 33% of Seniors and post-baccalaureate who are EE and CompE majors
Undergraduate candidates shall be selected from those students in the Junior or Senior class who are pursuing courses leading to a Baccalaureate or equivalent degree in electrical engineering. Juniors who have a cumulative scholastic rank in the upper quarter of their electrical engineering class may be elected. Seniors who have a cumulative scholastic rank in the upper third of their electrical engineering class may be elected. Graduate students and distinguished professional engineers are also eligible. Graduate student candidates shall have been graduated from a school of recognized standing and shall possess substantially the same scholastic and other qualifications required for undergraduate membership.
