My research involves the intersection of residential energy use, housing consumption and choice behaviors, and suburbanization. I am particularly interested in understanding the impact of urbanization patterns on climate change through energy consumption at homes.
I have a B.A. in Urban Desgin and Planning (2005), and a M.Sc. in Urban and Regional Planning (2008) from University of Tehran, University College of Fine Arts. Towards my PhD, I am honored to work with an interdisciplinary advisory committee: Robert Mugerauer, Rachel Kleit, Kyle Crowder, Brian Flaherty, and Jan Whittington.
