I am a graduate student at the University of Washington in the Department of Electrical Engineering.   I am currently doing research in the Applied Computing and Machine Emulation (ACME) lab run by Scott Hauck.   I am currently developing the front-end electronics for a PET scanner.  My masters topic investigated the use of floating-point and logarithmic number systems on FPGAs.  I also spent a couple of months reviewing the state of the art for nano-electronics.

I married Amy in March of 2000 and we have two children, Kade and Ella.  Besides my research, I enjoy randoneurring and working with my hands.
