AGE ONE - The Elven supremacy

- Dominant Species: Elves (over 80% of the world)

The elves are the first species of Taerra, and are the first creation from the oldest immortals of the land. The race has been graced with the knowledge to channel energies of the world.

The first age was an age of magical advancement. However, the prosperity was soon to be marred by the breaking off of the drows from the elves. The drows, a group of elves who believed they deserved more, began a war on the high elves. Defeated initially, they settled on the northern continents. Over the next million years, they have evolved differently, now afraid of the sun, and dark in skin tone.

Political stress soon turned into wars between the north and the south. The first war was extremely brutal, with an island in the middle, now known as the 'Isle of war' being the major battle zone, as both sides knew that whoever captured the Isle would gain a huge advantage in the war.

The war was marked with the elves winning the battles repeatedly for the first millienium. However, as a desperate move, the drows provoked the use of supernatural means to conjure demons onto the elves. This knowledge was passed to the drow by an unknown source. The power of dark magics has turned the tide of the war. A hundred years passed, the high elves were but next to extinct, until another event changed the war.

The continuous usage of forbidden arts, had awakend and freed the great evil Lord of Sapphist, which was the hidden reason why the knowledge of demon channeling was given to the drows. The Dark Lord was so powerful that though the drows first pledged their loyalty, they soon came to fear of his influence.

A secret plot from the drows to seal the Lord's presence didn't go unnoticed, and the Dark Lord crushed the drows with his own creations, the trolls and orcs. After the drows were crushed completed. The next thousand years were known as the dark age, until a group of heroes, consisting of human, dwarves and centaurs began to study a way to mend the world. It was then with the assistance of the elves that showed a possible means to seal the Dark Lord. To seal the Dark Lord by using the Dark Lord's own powers.

With their own young immortal, the 7 heroes and the elven army, waged a planned battled against the armies of Sapphist as a distraction. The 7 heroes, though all perished in the very end, managed to successfully, seal the Dark lord into a prison.

The first age ended, but the elvens were devastated by the war, and had retreated into The Holy Grove, the drow survivors, never learned their mistake, claiming it was the elves that spoil their plan to seal the Dark Lord in the first place... The hatred between drows and elves only escalated.
