China Earthquake Aid

One of our projects is to try and comfort the hearts and minds of the Chinese children affected by the earthquake. On one of our trips to the disaster area we talked with one of the teachers and asked how we could help. Her answer surprised us at first when she asked for letters from children from all over the world to comfort her students¡¯ hearts. The earthquake caused over 7000 classrooms to collapse, killed 90,000, injured 350,000 and has displaced over 5.4 million people. These children have lost family, friends, teachers, classmates and other loved ones. These letters are not a lot but they are a small gesture that will hopefully help these children though this tough time. Along with each letter we will be giving an English-Chinese Dictionary, a pencil, and other small gifts to help them with their studies.
