Global Business Forum (Mondays: 12:30-1:20 p.m., Balmer 303)

The Global Business Forum brings global business leaders from the Seattle community to speak to the students about current trends in international trade, the complexities of transacting business overseas, and the international opportunities available for MBAs entering the workforce.

The GBF speakers are invited to a "pre-speech lunch" with a select group of MBA students (on a first-come basis). Students take full advantage of the intimate lunch setting to speak candidly with the speakers about the job market, international trade disputes, or just simply to network! Watch for e-mail announcements to sign-up for lunch with a GBF speaker.

Note: The Global Business Center and the Global Business Association sponsor this weekly brown-bag speaker series. Global Business Forum may be taken for one academic credit and listed under BA 545, Global Business Issues. For information and to obtain an entry code, please contact GBC at 206-616-3806 or email uwciber@u.washington.edu.

To obtain credit, students must attend all of the GBF sessions (one absence allowed) and complete a three to five page paper assigned by the faculty advisor.

The Global Business Center is home to UW CIBER and funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
