Community Service
A standing ovation for Elena Hansen who dedicated over 6 months of her time and talent to raise money and awareness for The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center Miss Greek Competition! She was one of the top three fundraisers and in her efforts raised over $7,000 to fight cancer!
Way to go Katie Whittle who was recently chosen to be a full time counselor at the Painted Turtle, a summer camp for critically and terminally ill children. Her efforts will place her in Santa Monica, California this summer! She will be joined for a week by Leanne Pohls who was this year's Fairy God Sister champion! As a Fairy God Sister, Leanne worked to raise money to send critically and terminally ill children to camps such as the Painted Turtle.
Great job Gamma Phi Beta Lambda Chapter! We raised $5,500 towards Cystic Fibrosis this year, a $2,000 increase from 2005!
Activities
Way to go Nicole Sprunk! Nicole was recently chosen to take part in a Nike internship in Hollywood, California this summer!
You go girls! Ashley Ahlgrim and Emily Collins took first place with their cheer team in the Jamz National Cheerleading and Dance Competition in Las Vegas!
Congrats Kendall Cohan! Kendall was selected to complete an internship with Jerry Bruckheimer (film and television guru) this summer in Los Angeles!
Awesome job Laura Bates and Kristina Scarff who both recently completed a triatholon! Also to Ryan Torpie for smashing the competition in the half marathon she recently competed in. She also beat her own personal record coming in at 1 hour 36 minutes!
A round of applause for Danielle Guimond who was recently selected to participate in a competitive internship in the children's department at Nordstrom this summer in Spokane!
Gamma Phi Beta once again exhibited our competitive spirits and remarkable talent after being deemed Champions for our soccer team, basketball coed team, and soccer coed Team!
