More About Me
I am currently enrolled in the PhD program in archaeology at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA. My undergraduate was completed at Penn State, where I also earned a minor in Geographic Information Science. My heavy use of GIS, GPS, and geospatial databases continues to this day. I have participated in archaeological fieldwork in Pennsylvania, Washington, Alaska, and Peru.

My current focus is the mid-late Holocene of northwest Alaska. I would like to explore human-environment interaction, specifically subsistence and seasonal movement, through time.  I am also interested in interdisciplinary studies, especially as applied to environmental research.  Learn more about my IGERT fellowship on this topic here.

I enjoy many outdoor activities, including skiing, climbing, and biking. I hunt and fish whenever I get the chance. I have graduated to sausage journeyman, and am in search of a stuffer and smoker here in Seattle. I am glad to consult pro bono on any meat related issue you may have, be it game or farm animal. See pictures of most of the activities described above (plus my lovely wife, good friends, and some decent landscapes) on my Picasa page.
