Welcome!

I am a PhD Candidate and a member of the Washington Institute for the Study of Ethnicity & Race and Sexuality. I am also a participant in the Politics of Race, Immigration, and Ethnicity Consortium (PRIEC) - a high-quality forum for mentorship and presenting research on race, ethnicity and immigration politics.  My research interests include public opinion, survey instrument design, English-Spanish questionnaire translation/ interpretation, voting behavior, and race and ethnicity politics.  I am particularly interested in the ways that survey research and experimental methods can help us to understand the political incorporation of immigrants in the United States, and how research on race and immigrant politics can help us improve survey methods.  I anticipate completing the PhD in the spring of 2010.
