Powwow Updates

Our event poster has been updated and involves all the latest and final information! Thank you to everyone who will be involved in our powwow this year, we are really looking forward to it and we know it will be a good one.

It still isn’t too late to sign up to volunteer! Volunteers will help cook frybread, make frybread dough, help with clean up, work the concessions, getting drinks and indian tacos to customers, and watch kids in the kid room. We couldn’t keep this powwow running without volunteers, so please sign up today! https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/apache78/155676. Also, keep in mind to wear comfortable shoes and clothes, as volunteers are usually required to stand for long periods of time. Thanks!

Also, if you want to vend at our powwow, here is the link to vendor contracts: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_nDvFhQ1_Vz7fFc0J_Dva6IY9CZw7pkvKT0kzgNH2X4/edit. If you are sending in these contracts, the address is:
First Nations
Ethnic Cultural Center
University of Washington
3931 Brooklyn AVE NE Box 355650
Seattle, WA 98195

Hope to see you there!

Off the Rez (http://www.offthereztruck.com/?page_id=2) will also be helping First Nations @ UW with frybread this year! They make amazing frybread (and not to mention a variety of ndn tacos) and they will be a great asset to our powwow.

AND PLEASE NOTE, due to other UW events happening this weekend, UW (not First Nations) will be charging parking Friday and Saturday.
Friday: $10 before 5pm, and $7 after 5pm
Saturday: $5 all day, and complimentary parking has been arranged in parking lot E1
Sunday: Free

Here is a link to a campus map- you will be able to see the various parking lots:

Hope everyone is looking forward to the Spring Powwow as much as we are! See you there!
