Comedy King of Kane: My Uncle Is Funnier Than Yours

A Comedy Night!

We are proud to present our first ever Stand Up Competition. Worldwide, we find Filipino comedians, whether it be your Tito’s at the annual New Years Party in your own homes to the pare at the comedy club. It is time to showcase that talent.

The Last Comic Standing Competition will be held Friday Jan 25, 2013. From the online audition video submissions, FASA and PNI will chose 10 auditions to perform in front of an audience and a panel of judges including Rex Navarrete. The judges favorite and the audience favorite from The Last Comic Standing will then be invited to dinner after Friday’s show with Rex Navarrete and the Comedy Night committee. The two winners will then open for Rex Navarrete on Saturday Jan 26, 2013 at Comedy King of Kane: My Uncle Is Funnier Than Yours.

Here’s the deal!

If you are funny:
1. Submit an online 1-2 minute video to FASA sa UW’s email: -OR- submit a response video to FASA sa UW’s Promo on YouTube | DEADLINE: Jan. 16th

2. Wait until FASA contacts you after audition submission
3. Be available for Friday, Jan 25, 2013 to do a 5 minute stand up comedic act

If you want to spectate:

2. Think about all of the funny people you know and persuade them to try out
3. Check out the competition on YouTube and like your favorite comedians
4. Cheer on your friends at the Last Comic Standing on Jan. 25th

NWFASA Conference 2012: Bagong Bukas: A New Tomorrow

2012 NWFASA Conference will be held at the University of Washington,
April 20th-22nd, 2012.

This conference is a gathering of Filipino and Filipino American student oriented groups throughout the Pacific Northwest that come together to foster unity and pride within its attendees and surrounding community through educational, political, cultural, and social advancement.

It will be a weekend where these groups will hear key note speakers with established backgrounds, workshops from distinguished presenters, food from local restaurants, and all the while getting to meet and greet, build your communication network, and make new friends while staying in major hotels.
