Introduction
The majority of the world's population struggles to attain basic necessities like potable water, sufficient nutrition and sanitary living conditions. Getting involved with Engineers without Borders is a tremendous opportunity to work with others who care on small scale engineering projects that implement environmentally and economically sustainable solutions to some of these practical problems.Getting involved:
There are many ways to get involved in EWB, but the fastest is to attend any and all meetings that sound interesting to you! All meetings are open to anyone who wants to attend. An overview of the various committees can be found here.
Upcoming events and meetings can be found on our calendar:
Not an engineer? That's okay!
There is more to EWB than just engineers; projects often require the expertise of people from other fields. For example, business and marketing folks help raise and manage the funds required to build and implement the projects, and knowledge of the customs and cultures of communities located in remote regions of the world can be vital for project success.
No matter what your major is, what year of school you're in, or what you want to do with your life -- if EWB interests you, contact us. Read the FAQ to learn more about what you can do with EWB-UW.
