Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is an international non-profit organization dedicated to partnering with disadvantaged communities worldwide in order to improve their quality of life through the implementation of environmentally sustainable, equitable and economical engineering projects while developing responsible engineers and engineering students. The central belief of the organization is "to build a better world, one community at a time."

"Poverty relates primarily to the limited access of poor people to the knowledge and resources with which to address their basic human needs and promote sustainable development in such areas as water supply and sanitation, food production and processing, housing and construction, energy, transportation and communication, income generation and employment creation." (UNESCO 2003)

EWB is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3), not-for-profit organization. Your contribution is tax deductible.
