in the beginning...
at first there was some site clean up to do..(.the house in the background is built entirely of cob - mud, clay, straw neat huh?)

and then we broke ground...

we developed a plan for our site - not every permaculture garden has a horseshoe pit, but every site has its unique resources!

We've built/planted a lot of swales to
direct water, slow erosion, and grow food. This is a
banana/pineapple/sweet potato circle at the end of a swale.
