Cabo Blanco

between writing and our data gathering for the faculty led investigations the time seemed to go so fast.    then it was the last night - crazy.   we all gathered fire wood and built a big bonfire on the beach.    it was so fun because everyone was singing and playing the guitar i even got to play some church camp songs - which was a blast!

in the pictures above you can see the fire wood gathering expedition and the group that gathered after to watch the sun go down.   we were all looking for the mysterious green flash  - although no one every really saw it haldre swears it exists - i don't know....

after the fun evening of singing we got up early to leave for san jose.  on the way we took a ferry and stopped at some mangroves.   the mangrove tour was lame...i could have done better, but the ferry ride was cool because i swear  i saw a shooting star in the middle of the day - no really i did!

you can see that the ferry in costa rica is nothing like the ferry in washington state.   notice the car hanging bumper end off the platform and only held on by a thin rope - it would never fly in the states!

i was a little motion sick from the bus ride, but the boat was relatively calmer and i really enjoyed the views of the gulf of nicoya!
