Searching For "Emily Allstot": A Disclaimer
Dear Reader,
So you decided to find me online, and perhaps you Googled "Emily Allstot"... here are a few things you should know about your search results:
- I do not use MySpace anymore. This is not me. There members of the Allstot clan around the world (and lots of spellings), so there's bound to be some name repetitions. And yes, I am related to pro footballer Mike Alstott - I checked the geneology records, and we're approximately ninth cousins.
- I don't currently maintain a blog, and I'd really like to delete this decrepit one I kept while briefly residing in Texas in 2008, but I don't have access to the email/password anymore. Ah, well.
- If you see any silly reviews written by "Miss Emily Allstot" originating from Amazon.com, I'm a little embarassed about those, too. I wrote them as a teenager, trying to up my ranking as a reviewer. Of course, try as I may to delete them, it is all in vain because some things never die on The Internets.
- The ISCAS 2008 website was maintained by me, and I would have done some things differently (like make it less garish, not have my ex create the design it for me, used code/design editors more effectively, etc.).
- Jyte, OpenID, anything Linux/Open Source related: I'm not so much into that stuff anymore, either.
- In a slew of misguided decisions, I went to Oregon State University on and off over the course of the decade. I changed my major about a million times, and engaged in a variety of shenanigans (some innocuous, some not) that may or may not reveal themselves in a Google search.
