You've reached the homepage of Darren Scott Tanner. I'm a fifth year graduate student in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Washington. I received my BA in Linguistics, summa cum laude, here at the UW in 2002 after attending the Vestjysk Music Conservatory in Esbjerg, Denmark and Washington University in St. Louis, where I studied music performance (French Horn) and German.

My research interests currently include syntactic theory and the second language acquisition of syntax and morphology. I am additionally interested in psycho- and neurolinguistics, and particularly in ERPs as a means to investigate the acquisition of processing routines during the acquisition of second languages by adults.
