Background

Ivan has been a fan of the British sixties instrumental band the Shadows since he was ten, living in Zagreb, Croatia. Upon moving to the United States, he discovered Dick Dale and the Challengers. All through the nineties, while playing with alternative bands (such as Razor 18) he was getting more into surf music. Inspired by a particularly energetic performance by Laika & the Cosmonauts in late '95, he was finally ready to start a surf band of his own and the Space Cossacks were born!
