Diabetes Mobile Phone Games Testing


If You Are Interested in Testing Our Games

If you are:

  • Age 18 or over with a diagnosis of diabetes (any type)
  • And you have an iPhone, Blackberry, or Windows Mobile 6 phone

You will receive a $10 Amazon.com gift certificate for trying the games and completing a brief 11-item questionnaire about your feelings towards the games.

Call or email us and we'll give you an anonymous Test ID and help you get started!

How Testing Works

  1. Once you have a Testing ID, you can install the games on your phone.
  2. Play all three games a few times on the first day. (This is just to make sure it works on your phone).
  3. Play the games as much as you wish for a week.
  4. After a week, complete a brief 11 item quesitonairee on what you thought about the games and what suggestions you have for improvement.
  5. Once we receive the questionairre, we'll email you a $10 amazon.com gift certificate.
  6. It's as easy as that!

 

How to set up BeatTheMeter on to your iPhone

  1. BeatTheMeter is a web application for the iPhone.
  2. I can email or text your individual URL link to the game.
  3. Open the URL on your iPhone, bookmark the home page, and add to your home screen.
  4. You are ready to play!  You should see the shortcut icon on your phone. 


How to download and Install BeatTheMeter on to your Windows Mobile 6 Phone

  1. I'll email or text you the web link to download the game through your phone's browser..
  2. At the dialog box either open or save the file.  I suggest opening the file.  If you save it, you just need to find where you saved it and open it.
  3. If you are asked to choose the location to install UW BeatThe Meter,   I suggest choosing the Device
  4. You are ready to play!  You should see the shortcut in the programs directory. 

 

Getting Started Playing BeatTheMeter on Windows Mobile 6

Go to Start>Programs>BeatTheMeter

At the BeatTheMeter menu screen, select Menu > Settings

In the FoodleId box, enter your tester ID

Customize the other settings however you like. 

Click “Save”

Play the games!
