Career Goals
Upon completion of my PhD in Biomedical and Health Informatics in addition to my concurrent Master of Public Health in Health and Population Research, my primary objective is to secure a position which allows me to continue conducting research which improves technology used in the application of public health and population research.
My specific research interests involve the domain of Public Health Informatics. In particular, population level decision support technologies including simulation, classification, discrimination, transformation, and analysis techniques for large data sets related to healthcare as well as data modeling and tool development for these purposes. My aim is to improve the tools used within public health to improve policy, health protection, and health promotion. This research will increase public health’s effectiveness in promoting safer, healthier, longer lives, especially for those who are at greater risks
