2007 Fall Quarter: Husky Water Polo practices are Mon, Tue & Thur 7:00-9:00PM at Hec Ed Pavilion Pool. All students interested in playing water polo are encouraged to participate.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

It was the Huskies versus Oregon for the NW CWPA Championship final on Sunday. In a close game the Dawgs came up just short however. In the preliminary games Washington beat Central Washington 21-5 and Oregon State 11-10 in overtime. Against the Ducks, The game was close the whole way until the last two minutes. The score was tied at 5-5 after the 1st quarter and 6-6 at halftime. Washington entered the last quarter down by one but tied the score 8 all a minute into the 4th quarter. In a scramble for a blocked shot Tyler Farmer scored an own goal and the Huskies trailed by one. Despite several chances the Huskies could get no closer as the Ducks scored three goals in the final 2 minutes to win 12-9. Oregon will advance to the Nationals and Washington's season has ended. The Husky team was disappointed but they played well in a very competitive final game. The players are already talking about getting ready and being better next year.

NATIONAL RESULTS:

Nationals this year will be hosted by the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ. Best of luck to the Oregon Ducks.
