Hey, sorry kids. I didn’t realize it has been so long since you last heard from your senator. I know you all have been dying to know what is going on here. So here is the low-down. Most recently the ASUW is having elections. from May 8th to May 10th vote on-line at vote.asuw.org. You can also look at candidate information there. At the last senate meeting there was a candidate forum. I think there are a lot of good people running, so look into it. As far as the elections go, I would also like to take this opportunity to express my support of the decision by the BOD, specifically our very own Karl Smith, not to allow Chelsea Bergesen to run on the Husky Pride ticket. It was a tough decision, but the right one, to stick with the rules as laid out in the ASUW constitution.

More importantly than all this, our resolution to support the all-campus match will most likely finally get to second readings next week. It passed from committee favorably and has gone through first readings, so now all that is left is for it to pass!!!! I’ll keep you all posted.
