I did go to Senate last week, but I was too lazy to update and now can’t remember what happened. I know the vast audience who reads these reports on a regular basis was incredibly disappointed. But here is what happened this senate meeting, and let me re-iterate if anyone actually wonders what happens at senate, you would make an excellent candidate for becoming senator next year. And you could get lots of experience by being my proxy.
For spring quarter, as a member of the membership committee, which does nothing and plans social events, I suggested having a joint Senate/Croquet League croquet match. When it gets closer to spring quarter I will figure it out. That is too far in the future to worry about; I mean I don’t even know where I’m living.
We set the level for the Student Technology Fee at $41, up from $1. There was a lot of debate which I didn’t pay much attention to. We also discussed a resolution about a new ASUW website www.mycampusnet.com, which is meant to be a forum for students and activities. It has my support, and not just because the sponsor has a sweet accent.
Anyway, I think that is all. I’m sure other stuff happened in Senate. Oh yeah, I was supposed to tell everyone to sign up for Lobby Day which was today. So remember and sign up for next year.
