Honors Croquet League

Senate Reports

Previous June 25, 2005 Next

Finally, my final report.

This year, Senate was not nearly as bad as I had anticipated, especially given my first year as senator way back in 2002–2003. Much of this was due to the pro-croquet nature of Senate this year, which, I believe, will be even better next year. For next year, there will be two Honors Croquet League members in positions of power in student government. Karl Smith was elected to serve on the Board of Directors in the recent ASUW elections, and Alex Kim is the new Senate Chair. The other BoD members and Senate officers have also proven, for the most part, to be quite pro-croquet as well.

Other highlights of the current state of ASUW include the success of my end-of-year prank and the Senate award I never received—previous Senate Chair Zachary Tobin created an award for me entitled, “Croquet is not a sport, it is a lifestyle,” but forgot to actually make it.

Jill Edwards is next year’s Senator and I hope she has an even better time.
