Senate Stuff

We passed R-9-47, A Resolution Against the Proposed University Food Services Standards Administrative Policy Statement 11.5 (although i think it’s under a new title which escapes me at the moment).

Not much else to report since the meeting was cut short by a fire alarm. We did have Seattle City Councilmember Richard Conlin come in for a public forum. He talked at length about the “Revitalize the Ave” project going on and future goals for the U-District. He gave us all his card so if anyone wants to contact him for whatever reason such as offer suggestions, praise his work, or complain about his work, let me know. Also, he has an email newsletter if you don’t think you’re getting enough SPAM. To subscribe to “Making it Work” send a message to majordomo@lists.speakeasy.org with “subscribe makingitwork” in the message body.

Don’t forget, the All-Campus Tournament is this Saturday at 1 pm in the lush, green grass surrounding Parrington Hall. Bring cameras or croquet sets or both depending on what you have but most importantly, bring yourself. And if you’re like me who has a mandatory study abroad meeting, just go to the first have and leave halfway through. You can always stop by the IPE or FIUTS offices to catch up on what you missed.

See y’all there.
