Hiking! Saturday! Maybe 4,000' of gain! Maybe a few miles! Maybe about 5 or 6 hours!
Given the forecast, this will be a very wet day on the trail. Very wet. But, fun, right? Right?
I mean, possibly? Right now the best dumb idea we have is to climb Mailbox.

Bring rain gear plus the usual hiking stuff, and $10 for gas money etc etc. Also, a thermos of hot cocoa or something: Lord knows you'll want it. Probably leaving from the Burke Museum parking lot at 8am Saturday, back sometime in the afternoon (certainly before dinner), but we'll sort that out on Friday.

Post here or email me if interested. Mention
1- Your name, and your email / phone # so I can contact you
2- Whether you've got all the gear (ok, so kind of dumb for this trip, but a good habit)
3- If you have a car, and if so, how many people you can haul.

It's a bit too early in the year for the Winter Suckfest Series of training slogs, so we'll need a catchy title for these sorts of if-you-have-fun-then-it-can't-be-stupid shenanigans. Current options are "I Don't Believe In Global Warming", "Suck It Up, Buttercup", "Let's Go Look At The Flowers And Walk By Them Really Fast Because My Feet Are Wet", and "Whose Idea Was This, Anyway?".

Hey Amittai, I'll go hiking tomorrow. Mailbox sounds good.

1- Val, 471-9227
2- I'm ready to walk uphill in the rain
3- I'll happily contribute gas $ to the Amittai-mobile
