As mind-clearing before my comprehensive exams start next week, I am planning a trip up Hidden Lake Peaks, off Cascade River Road in the North Cascades, on Sunday (assuming the weather doesn't do anything terrible in the meantime). I'll be snowshoeing, but this trip should make a good ski as well if you're so inclined. The winter route goes up a ridge, and spends a large bulk of the time above treeline, so if the weather cooperates we should get some epic views.

Expect up to 9 mi and 4000' of gain. Leaving early Sunday morning, back Sunday evening.
Gear needed: snowshoes/skis, crampons, ice axe + all the typical essentials

Post here if you're interested, including if you have a car and whether you'd like to ski or snowshoe. Post/PM with questions.

A friend and I are very interested in joining. We can get all the gear we need from the climbing club and we both have experience with alpine climbing. I do not have AT skis so snowshoeing would be best for me.

Neither of us have a car but we both offer gas money.

Let me know if you are interested in having us join.

Elliott

I'm planning to drive up with a friend who's planning to ski, and our car currently has 2 free spaces (although that might turn into a very tight two) so you're good. I'll update the post with departure details tonight/tomorrow.

Anyone else interested in joining?

Planning to leave from my house in Wallingford 6am Sunday. Where are you guys? If you can get somewhere in the 45th/I-5 or 65th Park and Ride in the morning we can pick you up and head out.

I had physical therapy last night and the PT said I shouldn't do the trip because my IT bands are really irritated. Sorry to back out so last minute. I'm not sure as of yet if Will is still planning on going. He says he will reply to the post.

Good luck and sorry about this.

Elliott
