Thinking about getting out for some Leavenworth trad. I can do one day or both days. Let me know if you want to get on some granite this weekend! I'm hoping to climb a lot of stuff in the 5.8-10 range, 5.11 if you're leading

I might be interested in this.
Maybe splitting the drive over two days, but likely not climbing two full days.
I do need to learn how to climb cracks, though. No leading 5.11 from me ;-)

Jochen is looking for some moderate cracks to practice following (5.6-5.8?). I am hoping to throw myself at a few harder one's too 5.9-5.10. Are a couple more people interested in joining us? I'm hoping for a group of 4 (or more) of mixed ability and a couple racks and ropes to maximize climbing. We can climb as a group and get a few different top ropes set to accommodate various skill levels.

Ideas include:
Trundle Dome/Surf City
Ski Tracks Crack 5.9
Paydirt 5.7
Sam and Cams 5.7
Flake Fest 5.8+
April Mayhem 5.9
Some 5.10a that I got chased off of due to a bee hive incident...

Alphabet Rock; Givler’s Dome
Dogleg Crack 5.8+
Hind Quarters 5.10a sport
Meat Grinder 5.10a
Givler’s Crack 5.7
Bo Derek 5.10b I really want to give this 4 star 10b a look!!

Icicle Buttress
Spaghetti Sauce 5.8
The Arch 5.8
Cocaine Crack 5.10a
R&D 5.6, 3-4 pitches!

And more (I can't recall right now without my book). I'm aiming for areas that can accommodate a variety of skill levels, and everyone can climb together.

I would be interested if its a 2 day trip. if we were gonna do 1 full day and a half day, i would probably wanna bring some pads and hit icicle canyons awesome boulders for the half day.

i have a car, rope, reasonably complete rack, n pad.

haven't done trad/crack in a while, so i'd be looking to lead 5.7 and tr/follow moderates.

Hey Brett,

It'd be great to have you along! Currently I'll be going with Jochen and Ian Zemke, both are hoping to follow some moderate cracks. If you are up for leading 5.7ish stuff, we'd be set with a nice group of 4. I'm also happy to set up some harder stuff for you (and others) to practice. Jochen can drive, but didn't want to be out all weekend, We where thinking of leaving Seattle at 10(ish) Saturday morning and returning by dinner Sunday night (leaving Leavenworth at 2 or 3 pm). If that works for you and you can drive 4 total (Jochen can only fit 3+gear), I think we're set with one car.

Hey again guys!

It looks like Brett is good to drive. Let's stick with the plan to leave Seattle at 10am (from my place, which is on the way), so the rest of you can meet somewhere at 9:30ish and then drive north. Jochen, can you pm/call/email me and Brett with your phone number so that we can coordinate the carpool? I can be reached at 360 471 9227.

Val

Are we planning the usual camp fire potluck, or should I bring stove and ramen?

Looks like Brendan and I are headed out that direction on Sunday - we're planning on some multipitch adventures on Castle, then either Groundhog Day or assorted single pitch, but maybe we'll see you guys out there!
