winter is no deal breaker for cragging in WA.
some french freeing and aiding at index this jan and feb with Ben Ps and various other partners kept me on granite.
yesterday was my first day back at vantage since freezing my nuts before thanksgiving.
beautiful desert setting with that great sagebrush smell as usual.
tons of pigeons and pigeon poo as usual (i had a face off with one of the beady eyed coo-ers).
saturday was sunny there (from the pics i've seen)
sunday was foggy and in the forties- plenty of crack addicts out and the rock was dry
good climbing, but i did hear some complaints of cold hands (mostly on the face climbs).

get out there and crag!
bring the lawn chair and beverages and enjoy!

Are you up for a return trip one or two days this weekend? I'm ready for rock season again, even if it still is a little cold. And nice job on city park you guys! You made the most of a winter of rock in Washington.

Climbing season is back at Vantage, and not just for people like Nate who don't mind climbing rock in the snow! Nate, Carolina, Nick and I got in Several Area classics on Sunday. It started off chilly (especially for Carolina and I who chose to start out in the shade of Seven Virgins and a Mule). By lunch, it was comfortable to climb in a long sleeve T-shirt. The forecast was 44 degrees and Mostly Sunny. At Vantage, that equals comfortable climbing! I'm hoping to have another club trip out there soon.
