Unlike the other fat cats of the climbing club, I don't have millions of dollars to be throwing around on things like "skis" and "lift tickets". That said, does anyone want to go snowshoeing this weekend?

I have a car this weekend. I've heard Pratt Lake is nice, though easy, but I'd be down for anything good.

UPDATE:
Ok looks like we've got a trip!

Brian and Ava will drive their Subaru Imprezas.
We will meet at the Burke at 7:00am.

I've never been snowshoeing, but would like to try, if you're still up for it. Forecast on Sunday looks moderately better than Saturday...

Potentially interested, as well, though may have some obligations on Sunday that would make me favor Saturday (regardless of conditions...)

I would love to try snowshoeing, so this sounds like fun. For me it would be better to go on sunday.

I was just thinking about posting the same thing -- would love to get out into some snow. Either day is fine with me!

Either day is fine for me, snow is ok :)
I'll get snowshoes from the IMA tomorrow in hopes that we make it out.

I'm in for tomorrow, as well. I have a car that can seat three others. Given the amount of daylight available, we might want to consider meeting a little earlier, say 8 am at the Burke?

Could be a fair bit of snow at the trailhead tomorrow, so recommend any driving brings shovel and *chains* to get in/out of the parking lot area.

If we do go to Pratt and back, it will almost certainly be dark on the return trip, so everyone will need a headlamp.

Chairs? That wouldn't be too helpful for getting a car out. I'd suggest chains instead :D

The chairs are useful to sit on while you watch others work to dig out your car.

See you guys tomorrow at 8am?

Cool, 8 at the Burke sounds good.

I guess I was counting on the trailhead being plowed since it's so close to I-90. I have a shovel, but unfortunately no chairs (or chains). So, should I still plan on driving or do we have it covered with better equipped vehicles?

I have all-wheel drive, but not fantastic clearance (subaru impreza)
