Hey,

I am new to this forum. so I would first like to say HI! Secondly, I am interested in climbing Mt Rainier before the end of the Summer, preferably later in August. I have been to camp Muir several times, but I do not have any glacier travel experience. I am wondering if any experienced people are planning a trip and would not mind taking me along and willing to show me the essentials.....in exchange I can pay for some trip costs! Let me know if any of you are interested.....I've climbed St. Helens a short time ago, and I have been itching to do Rainier and cannot afford the guide service!

It might help your cause to describe how physically fit you are...

My apologies....my name is Chris, I'm a recent UW grad. As far as physical fitness is concerned, I work out regularly and I was able to hike up to camp Muir with a 40 lb pack without much trouble. I do not anticipate many physical fitness problems, I am just looking to learn from somebody more experienced. I can rent all the necessary gear. Feel free to contact me at cjgarrity@gmail.com or even call me at 425-442-3154. Thanks.
