So I have been terrible about coming to pub night due to other engagements, however, I have one last opportunity before needing to pack and move before I leave and would like to summit something. (I am def. coming to Shultzys next week though!)

I had hoped to do Rainier this summer, but don't know if that will work out, but just seeing if there is any interest/experience in doing something next weekend.

Let me know, thanks :)!

Hi Jackie,

I'd be interested in some mountaineering next weekend. I've got all the necessary gear for almost anything we decide to do. I'd be OK climbing Rainier, but I'd rather do almost anything else just because I've gotten altitude sickness both times I climbed Rainier. Did you have any other climbs in mind? What were you looking for; a glacier climb, technical rock climbing, scrambling, etc?

I figured this was your trip post, so I'd let you pick the climb, but I could suggest a climb if you weren't sure what to do.

Hi Jackie and Kurt,

I won't be able to meet at Shultzy's tomorrow because I am currently in Albany, NY for an interview. I'm not really sure what I am doing here though. There are no mountains here nor is there ocean for that matter. Anyway keep me posted on any plans made. Kurt, if Jackie has to stay in Seattle this weekend would you still want to go on a trip.

I'll be reachable by phone or email this whole week.

Kyle, I feel sorry for you. Albany is kind of a craphole. I grew up near there.

dude, don't be so negative.
Albany is 2-ish hours away from Syracuse, Scranton, and Worcester. That's practically on the doorstep of civilization.

I don't know what I was thinking. I have about ten stitches in my arm and shouldn't do anything such as arresting or serious exertion and risk ripping it open. Maybe if you guys decide to do something more mellow such as a hike or scramble. Let me know.

Hey Kurt, Kyle, and other interested parties--I'd like to do a trip this wknd. Leaving for a six-day trip Wed, so want to keep it mellow. One thought is Tiffany Mtn 8245', high open class 2 terrain, lots of ridge walking, lakes etc. Located NE of Winthrop, temps forecasted in 70s at those elevations. No snow. Trailhead at 6700', lots of options for wandering, other mellow peaks. Have map and routes down. Open to other ideas too.

Hey, not sure if there's still interest out there, my friend Andi and I are looking to do a trip this weekend, possibly Snowking or Eldorado, but open to other possibilities. We need to find someone with a car, though...

I got a benign tumor removed.

I think I'm just gonna take it easy this weekend. Thanks though.
