If someone would like to volunteer as the new map editor, I can add them as a "collaborator" to the google map so that they can make future changes.

Thanks, Evan. I've added you as a collaborator. You should now be able to make edits to the map.

Buffalo Run Restaurant, Marblemount:

Mel, Kris, Annelisa and I stopped there last weekend on our way back from Mazama. The food was only slightly above average in my estimation, but they do offer a considerable variety of choices, including an entire menu page of vegetarian options. They also offer elk, buffalo, ostrich, and venison burgers along with standard fare. Be warned however, that basically everything on their menu save the lunch items are very expensive for post-climbing food. Dinner entrees ranged from 15-30 dollars. Fortunately, their more reasonably priced lunch menu is available all day, and includes the burgers and sandwiches of various animal meats mentioned above.

Huh, that's where Ian, Zoey, Nathan, Val, Sarah, Frank, and I ate too on Sunday. They played some terrible music (3 tracks on repeat) that had all of us cringing, especially Nathan and Ian. Good food though. Strangely, the guy at the restaurant told us to come back again when we have more money. We were all confused as what to make of that.

OK, I wasn't quite sure if I had heard that comment correctly or not, but I guess I did. A$$hole.

Do you think it was the owner of the place? Guy in his 50s or 60s, gray hair, maybe a beard? I overheard him bragging to the loggers when we were there about how much he drinks and drives and that the sheriff can go fuck himself if he's got a problem with that, or something to that effect.

You should go to Petersburg... I think at least once a week I heard some sort of comment about someone "getting their swerve on"

Well, you seriously do need money to eat any of the "dinner" items. It's a true mark of a great resteraunt when you can get a bottle of bud light for $4.50. I say walk across the street to the shell and pick up a six pack. If you do stop there though, that shell has an outrageous selection of beer.

Just to play devil's advocate -- could it have been a joke (albeit one that didn't come off as too funny)? To your point, Evan, I tend to think what he was saying to the loggers was just part of their boasting/conversation (maybe not the way I would have done it, but hey), which to be fair, we did walk into the middle of. After they left, he was pretty cordial to us, and offered us advice on getting back to Seattle (time and distance via Darrington vs. the other way). The waitstaff in the place were all very nice, and while I wouldn't drive out there again just for the food, I wouldn't necessarily be opposed to stopping there again either, but maybe I missed some key part of the conversation.

hey now, they do a decent happy hour, and their real beer is about the same price as a bud light.
i think of it as providing their customers with an economic incentive to have some goddamn taste.

Hey, don't get me wrong, I like the Ram! I only meant that judging a place by the price of their Bud Light may not yield the most conclusive results. :P

Kind of getting off topic, but I haven't been, to the ram for 3 years because when I went there it was pretty bad imho (food and overpriced beer). Sorry if i'm steppin on any toes... I'd be happy to be proven wrong in a few weeks...

all about the happy hour. otherwise, yeah.
"in a few weeks" sounds like a good plan!
