Let me be the first (at least on this forum) to say "Noooooooooooooooooooooooo!!"
I have been very excited to get back to the trad routes in Icicle canyon soon, but it looks like many of them are now going to have an extended approach. Highway 2 appears to be closed for the time being too (high avy danger).

Good grief. I'm guessing TC and other snow/ice routes in the Stuart range will have to wait another year. Hopefully this gets cleared off to allow late spring/summer time access to the area. Like you, I was so looking forward to climbing in Icicle this spring.

According to this, they should start clearing Icicle Creek Road sometime in the next few weeks adn it should take around 10 days to clear the 400-500 truck loads of mud.

Good to hear. It was pretty impressive to see the debris yesterday in person. Hopefully the road is not too damaged underneath and access to Eightmile Road will be restored quickly.

To those of you who were out in Leavenworth last weekend: what was the status of Icicle road past mile 8?

As someone who drove it this weekend, I can confirm this. Eightmile road is still gated at the campground though.
