Got my first chance to check out indian creek last weekend. What a place! Since I was new we stopped at the mandatory supercrack buttress and did supercrack, incredible hand crack, 3 am crack, and an unamed fingercrack on which I took a 15 footer onto a smallish cam... twice.
That evening we mtn biked the whole slick rock trail which was fun but tough with my lack of skills and hardtail.
The next day we biked at bartletts wash and hiked the negro bill canyon.
Sunday was reserved for the Kor Ingalls route on castleton tower. I lead the first two pitches and gave the 3rd lead to Dave, who cruised it no problem. Rapping down was interesting since it takes more than 4 raps contrary to the guidebook, and the 4th rap does not end in anchor which meant dave had to pendulum way right to find another old anchor on fixed gear. On the way home we stopped in Cortez, CO and rode around the trails at Phil's world, including some really fun "whoopty woos" as dave called them.
All in all it was a SUPER fun trip in the desert, and I've started climbing the steep learning curve into mountain biking.

SUPERCRACK!

Wow, nice photos. The rock on those butress crack routes looks impossibly smooth and un-rockish.

That place looks incredible, and it looks like you had an amazing trip. Nice work on the climbs and pictures.

Also, if you want to pick up bike skills in a hurry, spend a day or two at the whistler bike park. There isn't much like lift accessed riding to give you some time in the saddle going downhill. Being so close to Squamish, you could also easily turn it into a climb/bike trip as well.

Ben, did you lead Coynes? That thing is stout! So many baggy ring locks. I'm really glad to see you get over to the desert. Next time that I go, I'l have to try the Kor-Ingalls. Congratz on a great trip.

Thanks for the stoke Ben. If you ever want to come down to SLC and rope gun me up some desert sandstone, you've got an open invitation.
