Just had 3 pairs of shoes resoled at CC in Mazama as per everyone's recommendations. Apparently they switched management and now are doing a really bad job on shoes. They literally ruined my sport climbing shoes, taking away all the edging and the point and now they're just a rounded pair of crap beginner like shoes. Ugh. Even my mythos are rounder than they started. There goes like $500 down the drain. I'm not kidding!

Go with Barry's Resoles if you want a good job done. I am cursing myself for not continuing to go with Barry. I'll never use another resoler again, no matter how pricey he gets. Definitely not CC - really really bad experience. I can try to post photos if people really really want to see how bad they got.

Just trying to save others the heartache...

What a bummer! I got my moccasyms resoled by cascade cobblers last year and they did a great job back then. I was going to use them next time I needed to, but I guess I'll look elsewhere.

Does anyone else have favorite resole places? I saw David Younts comment in the other thread, I may give that a try but it seems too bad to ship all the way to Montana.

Man, I'm really disappointed to hear that. I always liked cascade cobbler and recommended it to a number of people. Thanks for the heads up Christie.

Not sure about other places in the Northwest, but I recommend Rock and Resole (http://www.rockandresole.com/) in Boulder, CO, if you're planning to have to mail your shoes anyway. They did a really good job restoring the edges on my Miuras, and were speedy and not too expensive (about the same as Cascade Cobbler I think...).
