My sister is in town this week from Baltimore for some climbing. We are planning to hit up Vantage on Saturday and Leavenworth trad on Sunday. If anyone is heading to those areas this weekend, we'd love to meet up for climbing, camping at Vantage and carpooling. Respond or PM me if you want to join us.

Hi I read there is some sport in leavenworth so I would love to go.
Unfortunately I can't go for two days and will be drinking on Friday night, so if someone was leaving from Seattle on Sunday I would appreciate a ride.

Have all the equipment and a rope.

Thanks
Thoralf

Hey Thoralf,
There are some great sport routes in Leavenworth. This one would make a really nice day.

As of about 2 weeks ago there was snow about 200 vertical feet above Leavenworth, even on south facing aspects. From the webcam, it looks like the town itself got some more snow this week (not a lot). As a result CA might not be a good choice this weekend. Something to think about when you are choosing where to climb.

Thanks for the beta Jim. I know that looking at routes above icicle creek road is optimistic, we'll most likely end up at Castle Rock and Icicle buttress (or a second day at Vantage).
