The Burton hut is great, but the approach is not easy, it would probably take the better part of a day. Also, it is not at all like the elfin lakes hut i.e. there's no fuel and/or stoves/heaters. For some photos from the area check out this TR from a few years ago: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2713

I'm still on the fence about the trip though I'm definitely tempted - if I go, I would be skiing and I would prefer the Burton hut.

I'm most interested in the hut with the best mountaineering objectives (as if that is a surprise to anyone). I really like Atwell peak, as it is not only ascetically stunning, but it is also not just a slog to get up. So I guess I'm leaning towards Elfin Lakes, but photos of other climbable, stunning peaks, could change my mind.

There is also Keith's hut in the Joffre Range.

I made a composited map from google maps here: http://creativedigitalnw.com/climbing/canada-map.jpg

note the file is about 11mb and very big, so try 'download linked file'

If you get a 403 error try refreshing the page or try the zipped version:

I got the error also, but it loaded after I hit refresh, I also posted a zipped version of the file which may work better.

Nice! Thanks Chris. Now I just need a huge-ass printer:)
To all:
So I updated the first post with a proposed timeline. It is getting close to where I would like a confirm, abort, or modify to the suggested plans.
